Give a little bit of HOPE

15:12

Festival season is coming to an end, Uni's starting up again, kids are back at school, the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder, but before it's back to the grindstone,  Liverpool's got one more festival lined up for you that's sure to end the season on a high. HOPE fest

What is HOPE fest?

HOPE fest is a festival with a difference, running across 5 venues over 3 days, showcasing Liverpool's own talent from the 19th to the 21st Septemeber, HOPE fest has teamed up with The Whitechapel Centre, the missionaries and The Basement Advisory Centre in order to raise awareness and help the Homeless in Liverpool.

How much is a Ticket/Wristband?

It's basically a FREE festival. That's the difference, it's not about the money, HOPE fest is a non-profit organisation, it's about your generosity and helping the homeless immediately, there and then.
For a  weekend wristband, which you can get from any venue over the weekend, you just need to hand in a 'HOPE pack' - containing: socks, Jumper, toothbrush, toothpaste and Soap.
Or alternatively, for access to a venue, hand in an item of  NON- perishable goods, you know like a tin of soup, or bedding, crockery, clothing, or if you can, household goods.
There's no excuse, pop into the poundstore in town or Primark on the way and pick up a pack of underwear, or if you're like me, you'll have clothes you don't wear anymore and probably a few tins and packs of soap lying round. It's up to you what you want to donate.

See lhttp://www.whitechapelcentre.co.uk/donate-goods.html  for more details on what to give.

There will also be people from The Whitechapel Centre to give advice at 2 of the venues, The Brink and The Baltic Social as well as flyers and 'No Second Night Out' cards to distribute as well.
